Luxurious Loungewear with Femme Luxe Finery

If there’s one thing this lockdown has taught us, it’s that we all seriously needed to upgrade our loungewear game. I don’t know about you, but until recently loungewear wasn’t at the top of my shopping list. I just felt like if I was going to buy clothes, then I should put my money towards my ‘outside’ outfits, aka the ones that would actually be seen. But now that we actually can’t go outside, WFH fashion is bigger than ever before, and comfy clothes (to the delight of many) are having their moment. After seeing the loungewear trend grow on Instagram, suddenly my 6 year old band t-shirt with a hole in the back didn’t quite seem to cut it anymore. Because now we actually have to care about what we wear inside the house just as much as what we wear outside. Fashion never compromises darling.

So, it was out with the old and in with the new for me, as I knew it was finally time to ditch the faded t-shirts and opt for some more fashionable alternatives. This was where Femme Luxe Finery came to the rescue. The brand very kindly offered to send me some pieces from their loungewear collection to style at home, so I had a browse on their website and picked out some of my fave bits to show you all!

When it comes to buying clothes, comfort, fit and style are all obviously very important aspects of an outfit. However, it’s not always easy for a look to fit all three of these criteria. All too often, style and fit come at the expense of comfort. But with loungewear, you don’t need to compromise. I can honestly say that all of the pieces I am about to show you from Femme Luxe are some of the comfiest items I own. True to their name, they give loungewear a luxurious feel, with pieces so cosy that they make you cringe at the thought of ever putting on a pair of jeans again. So, with dressing down becoming the new dressing up, I’m going to share with you how I have styled the items I picked out from their website!

The first outfit in this post was inspired by the only other thing that we are all thinking about in lockdown besides fashion: food. As you will all know from my recent lookbook, I am slightly obsessed with pastel colours right now, and what better pastel colour is there than peach? I think peach is such a perfect spring colour because not only does it look great on a variety of skin tones, but it’s a really pretty, toned down version of orange that makes it so much more wearable.

Of course, the first thing that attracted me to these joggers was the colour. I mean how could I resist? I think with so many grey styles out there, its great to spice up your joggers collection with a bit of colour, and it immediately makes a plain outfit more interesting!

The next thing I noticed about these joggers was how insanely soft they are. Not just on the outside but on the inside too. Wearing them is pretty much what I imagine it’s like to walk around with clouds on your legs. Divine.

What’s more, these joggers have pockets guys!! Can I get a hallelujah? In fact, they have more than just pockets, they have supersize pockets that are big enough to fit every single snack that you could possibly need to scurry up to your room and watch Netflix with. Fashionable AND practical.

I ordered these gorgeous joggers in a size 6 and they’re a lovely slightly oversized fit. They have a drawstring at the waist which means you can adjust it however you like and they are also cuffed at the bottom which is my faveee fit for joggers!

If there’s one Insta trend out there that’s giving loungewear a run for its money, it’s the matcha latte and dalgona coffee trend. Bloggers are becoming baristas left right and centre, whipping up photo worthy lattes and posting their carefully crafted masterpieces on the gram. Personally, I am not a coffee drinker, so I decided to channel the matcha latte trend into my loungewear instead.

I loved the peach pair of joggers so much that I simply had to buy them in another colour. I mean, it would have been rude not to. When it comes to joggers, I find that the most wearable colour by far is cream / white. This is because they can be worn as loungewear, but also dressed up with blazers and jewellery for a more chic look! They also look great when you have a tan.

Once again, these joggers feel like candy floss on my legs. They are insanely cosy and just the right thickness for me. They fit exactly the same as the other joggers, only I opted for a size 8 in this pair. Personally, I don’t see a big size difference, but that is because they are oversized anyway, so they would fit a variety of sizes. I think you could easily size up or down in these joggers and they would still fit well!

Sage really is the colour of the season for me, and in my opinion, it compliments the cream joggers perfectly. I just love the way they look together and I think they make for a gorgeous, toned down pastel outfit. I never thought my style icon would be a cup of coffee but there’s a first for everything I suppose.

Lastly, sticking with the snacks theme (because let’s face it thats the main thing on our minds at the moment), I put together this little outfit to remind you all of one of your childhood faves.

Naturally, I opted for another pastel colour in this outfit because quite frankly, I am forming an unhealthy obsession with them. This time however, I chose this cute little fleece to go with my cream joggers! I love fleeces like this and I think they’re a really cute alternative to hoodies. What I love about this one is that it has a toggle at the bottom so you can tighten the bottom of it as much as you like to give it more shape. This means you can wear it more or less cropped depending on how you like it!

Just like the joggers, this fleece is soo comfortable and soft. It’s a really nice thickness and you could wear it over something, or with nothing underneath! It’s such a cosy addition to my loungewear collection and is the perfect thing to throw on if you want a little bit of colour to brighten your day!

I love the way the lilac and the cream look together and I think the cropped style of the fleece is perfect to wear with joggers that cinch in at the waist.

I got this fleece in a size medium and I love the way it fits! Again, I think it would be easy to size up or down in this because you can adjust it how you like.

Unfortunately, this fleece is out of stock now, but to browse similar click here.
